The licence rule nobody wants to hear
Thailand requires a motorcycle licence, and for visitors that means your home motorcycle licence plus an International Driving Permit with the motorcycle category stamped. A car licence does not cover a 125cc scooter. Shops rarely check; police checkpoints on the Ao Nang road do, and the roadside fine is around 500 baht. How is the ride to the temple?
